A group of Central Michigan University students wrapped up the academic year in France where they helped carry out the world’s largest showcase of film: Festival De Cannes.

The 14 CMU students who participated in the project are minoring in event management, a program that includes specialized coursework and practical experience to help students develop the skills necessary to become successful event managers.

“Students worked behind the scenes during the entire festival,” said CMU faculty leader Lorie Tuma. “This kind of experience is invaluable to their future careers.”
